THE BODY IN GRIFFITH PARK

In the third Anna Blanc mystery, Moira Quirk delivers a spunky, ultra-energetic Anna and a cast of originals who fit perfectly into Los Angeles of 1908. Anna, an ex-heiress, and her beau, Detective Joe Singer, head to Griffith Park for a romantic interlude. Instead they find a body. As an LAPD police matron, Anna surreptitiously works on the case with Joe. Quirk delivers a refreshing, irrepressible Anna, whose worst oath is "biscuits." When Anna discovers a trafficking ring operating in town, she sets the wheels in motion to save the underage victims. To add to the mysterious goings-on, Anna receives a series of gorgeous bouquets with no note, causing Joe much anguish. Quirk makes this mystery a listening delight.
