Janet Evanovich’s latest is a continuation in the Stephanie Plum series. C.J. Critt is a gifted performer who enhances the listening experience through her varied character voices and inflections. Plum manages to get herself into more trouble than the average bounty hunter; this time she carries out her duties while attempting to avoid the hit man hired by a local gang. It all provides an entertaining package as Evanovich’s story and Critt’s performance make the listener feel a part of the adventure.
