FARM FATALE A Comedy of Country Manors

Rosie and Mark join the parade of Londoners who move to the countryside for the quiet life. What they find is a village more lively, gossip-filled, contentious, and noisy than much of the city. Narrator Gerri Halligan adds her own brand of wry humor as she skillfully portrays farmers, a reclusive rock star, the world's nosiest and most talkative postman, and the rest of the small-town worthies. The action is mostly verbal, and the sparring is enhanced by Halligan's splendid delivery and timing. A fun look at modern women and contemporary life in an English village. S.G.B.
