The convivial narration of Jenny Hoops is perfectly suited to this light romance about a young Canadian woman starting a new life. Tilly McCormack arrives at Banff's luxury railroad hotel to take up her position as a chambermaid. Caring for guests is far different from life on the farm with her late father, but she perseveres with the help of new friends. Hoops's portrayal of Tilly captures the 20-year-old's insecurities and naïveté, as well as her determination and outspoken nature. The rugged Ryan Blake, Tilly's love interest, is portrayed with a boyish charm that makes for an appealing mix as he woos Tilly with his abundant knowledge of Canadian history.
