THE END OF WAR

Following on the heels of the author's bestselling WAR OF THE RATS, this is an unsparingly gritty account of the taking of Berlin, shown from various Soviet, German, and American points of view. Narrator Arthur Roberts has the sound of a G.I. grunt in a '50s war film. He can soften his timbre where appropriate, but is not otherwise particularly expressive.
