HOUSE OF SLAMMING DOORS

Mark Macauley masterfully performs his own story about an Irish teenager's fateful year in 1963 and the Kennedy assassination. Justin is the youngest of three children in a dysfunctional family. JFK is visiting Ireland and capturing the nation's attention, but Justin's more interested in young love. Macauley captures the voice of the young Justin with surprising wit and dark humor. Each secondary character benefits from a distinct voice. Clever use of music and sound effects lends the performance a radio-drama feel without overshadowing the story or the narration.
