Okoye builds the tension in Blackwood's adventure as Andromeda endures family secrets, alliances of necessity, romantic entanglements, and increasing violence from the angry, forceful spirits in the household. As horror and magic are infused into scenes both intimate and grand, Okoye's delivery heightens the humanity and resilience of Blackwood's multifaceted characters.
