THE KID WHO ONLY HIT HOMERS

by | Read by a Full Cast

Children • 3 hrs. • Unabridged • © 1972

Matt Christopher has a large following of boys who love his sports stories. In this baseball tale a boy gets some coaching from a mysterious figure and then deals with the attention his prowess brings. It will delight the same audience and, in addition, takes an otherwise run-of-the-mill story and makes it especially appealing. Joe Ferris, the story’s narrator, and Isaac Shaw, who reads the part of Syl, the young baseball prodigy, lead a cast of young actors in a first-rate production. Listeners will find the changing voices easy to follow and delight in their variety. A good choice to keep kids in the back seat tuned-in. R.F.W. ©AudioFile, Portland, Maine [Published: JAN 95]
