FAMILY SECRETS

Therapist and theologian John Bradshaw assures us that all families have secrets--from healthy secrets to repressed secrets that negatively affect generations. While codifying secrets, the charismatic lecturer introduces various tools used in family therapy. Bradshaw teaches the listener to make a genogram, a critical document in family-systems theory. He also explains the Johari window of self-knowledge. In one of the discussions, Bradshaw tells how a fellow therapist once characterized Bradshaw's voice as frantic. The description fits the author's reading of this book. The program requires concentration, light meditation and self-assessment quizzes.
