THE BOY AND THE BOY KING

Author/narrator George H. Lewis deftly introduces Arthur, who lives in New York City. He and his stuffed rabbit, Bun-Bun, are visiting the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Temple of Dendur. Listeners join the pair as they enter a portal that takes them to meet King Tutankhamun (Tut) in Egypt. The highbrow English accent Lewis gives Bun-Bun matches Tut's regal confidence, while Arthur speaks like a typical American teen. Sounding astute, Bun-Bun encourages Tut to strive for peace, not war--as his advisors desire. Pragmatic Arthur encourages Tut to flee. Eventually, Arthur longs for home, but Bun-Bun realizes he must remain to continue guiding Tut. Along with a magical and poetic story, listeners are treated to a tour of ancient Egypt.
