This classic play by the legendary poet and playwright Federico Garcia Lorca is given new life with this full-cast production, complete with sound effects. Narrator Antonio Martínez Asensio sets the scene for the action, providing descriptions of the settings and developments, while a full cast of characters deliver the story of the repressive Bernarda Alba and her daughters, who are trapped in an extended period of mourning in a rural village in Spain. The conflicts between Bernarda and the daughters, as well as suitor Pepe el Romano, are enlivened with dramatic performances. The actors all, appropriately, have Spanish accents.
