In the fallout of an explosion in London, Brioni finds herself fearing for her sister. With the help of Anna, an anti-terrorism expert, Brioni searches for her sister, whose name is Marissa. Narrator Aoife McMahon deftly navigates the Irish, English, and American accents of the characters involved. Sam Blake's novel has listeners wondering about Marissa's marriage and her husband. McMahon's narration enhances the story. She keeps to a calm tone but shifts geographic accents and alternates her tone as Brioni and Anna find themselves thrust into the role of investigators.
