THE FINAL HOURS

This is a fascinating account of the last months of World War II by a high-ranking German fighter pilot. After participating in a scheme to thwart Herman Göring, Steinhoff flew the world's first jet fighters. Guidall's narration captures the author's physical and mental pain; his voice is slow and weary with characters distinctively and gently voiced. Guildall handles the sometimes formidable German place and personal names without hesitation. A perceptive clientele will borrow this tape heavily and praise you for having it.
