HIDE Detective Harriet Foster, Book 1

Narrator Chanté McCormick hits a home run in this police procedural. Harriet Foster, an African American seventeen-year veteran of the Chicago Police returns from bereavement leave after the death of her partner and jumps right into a murder case. A girl with red hair and red lipstick traced around her hands and ankles has been found stabbed to death. Then two more bodies are found with the same lipstick bracelets. McCormick has an array of voices she expertly uses to build suspense as Harriet and her partner track down the serial killer.
