Maureen O'Donnell has had a hard life in Glasgow. First, there was the trauma of sexual abuse; then her married boyfriend, Douglas, has his throat slit right in her apartment. The police suspect her at first, and then her brother, and then. . . well, you get the idea. Douglas was a psychiatrist where Maureen was treated. Katy Anderson takes the listener on a hair-raising adventure as Maureen investigates the murder, meets up with other former patients, and tries to protect her family and her sanity. Anderson is so involved in the action that her accent becomes almost unintelligible during the exciting parts. But Maureen never gives up, and neither does Anderson's performance.
