A LOVE STORY

What happens when two lifelong friends take the next step and become lovers? A great deal if the authors are the husband-and-wife writing duo Millner and Chiles. The three actors present the narrative voice and the lovers, each performing separate chapters. The actor portraying the narrator gives a mixed performance, but the two others give outstanding performances. The lovers' voices are full of life, hope, sadness, and wry humor. It is these two actors who elevate this audiobook from a trite novel to a delightful romance about two young, contemporary African-Americans.
