Nicol Zanzarella is the voice of Juni Jessup in this first installment of Blacke's newest cozy mystery series. Juni returns to Texas to join her two older sisters, Tansy and Maggie, in reviving their family's vinyl record shop. They add a coffee bar and rename it Sip & Spin Records. In spite of Cedar River's location just outside Austin, Zanzarella gives Juni an accentless voice. She uses consistent emotion, pacing, and enunciation in dialogue to insert personality into the large cast of characters. When a dead body is discovered in the shop's supply closet, the cop who shows up is Juni's heartbreaker ex from years ago. The sisters resolve to solve the crime themselves and save the business.
