SACRIFICE

Listeners' attention will be captured by this duet-style narration, which showcases Joe Arden and Maxine Mitchell's talents. Julia's life changed when her husband died, leaving her a widow with a young child. When tragic circumstances strike again, she's forced to accept help from her first love, her brother-in-law, Crew. Crew will do anything to save Julia and her daughter from more trauma, including sacrificing his own life. Mitchell's ability to credibly voice characters of all ages is a boon to the production. Her most notable performance is that of Julia's young daughter, Everleigh, who sounds youthful without seeming like a caricature. Arden's voices, while slightly less varied, also keep the listener's interest. The expressive deliveries of both narrators further pull the listener into the story.
