VINEYARD PREY

It's early December, scallop season on the island of Martha's Vineyard, and except for the shotgun blasts of deer hunters all is quiet--until J. W. Jackson's friend and former commanding officer in Vietnam, Begay, asks him for a favor. Begay is being hunted by an assassin named the Easter Bunny. Tom Stechschulte provides a running commentary from the fast-talking Jackson with panache. In one scene gravel spits across a car's windshield, and Stechschulte's words are as staccato as gunshots.
