Hearing Edoardo Ballerini narrate this mystery novella offers listeners a unique experience. While Ballerini is a very real and talented human being, the story he delivers was written largely by means of artificial intelligence. Author and cyber expert Stephen Marche used his literary skills and several AI websites, including ChatGPT, to create what is a serviceable classic-sounding mystery. Ballerini gives dimension to the main character, literary critic Gus Dupin, who becomes entangled in the murder investigation of a well-known Canadian writer who was working on secret generative AI projects.
