In the low country of South Carolina, Tess Gannon, a fire cop, teams up with BATF Agent Gage O'Halloran to apprehend a serial arsonist, known as the Flamemaster. As sexual tension simmers between the two, the arsonist's crimes continue. Tess soon realizes that her life is in danger, and she fears that she may become the Flamemaster's ultimate victim. Susan Denaker's smooth Southern accent epitomizes Tess's tough, yet vulnerable, personality. Denaker's portrayal of Gage is also on the mark, revealing him to be a maverick with bold sensuality.
