EVAN BLESSED

Poor Constable Evans. Just days before his marriage to his beloved Bronwen, he must search for a teenaged hiker who's disappeared on Mt. Snowdon. Narrator John Lee presents the Welsh accents of villagers as musically as if they were singing their conversations. Things get worse as Bronwen's whereabouts remains unknown, with Lee capturing Evans's stress, anger, and emotion as a fiancé and a policeman. Lee also projects Evans's mother--who criticizes her future daughter-in-law even in the face of her kidnapping. These human foibles bring laughs to a sad story.
