Listening to Terry Gross gives the public radio listener a unique opportunity to hear a salon-style chat with some of the world's most interesting celebrities. Gross's questions, style, and comments all serve to advance the flow of discussion and bring out the best in her guests. FRESH AIR LAUGHS includes excerpts from Gross's interviews with 14 comedians. Unfortunately, this "greatest hits" compilation suffers from poor recording quality (low volume and steady background hiss). These brilliant interviews deserve to be anthologized whole, with all of Gross's introductions and farewells, and duplicated with care to provide studio-quality sound.
