Matthew Spencer narrates the story that began in Chupeco's SILVER UNDER NIGHTFALL. Vampire hunter Remy Pendergast has a deep bond with two vampiric royal companions. They travel to the Court of Wanderers to recuperate after a battle with the formidable Night Empress and are thrown into vampire politics. Spencer is a superb storyteller. He keeps the plot moving. His skill at distinguishing characters is a solid plus for listeners as the political intrigue becomes more and more complicated and Remy unravels his family's secrets. Spencer also maintains the intensity of the combat scenes and murder. A familiarity with the events of the first book would provide helpful background.
