Rebecca Lowman gives an affecting performance of this stirring audiobook about grief and adventure. Lowman's expressive tone and relaxed pacing settle listeners into Ammalie's journey to an isolated cabin in Colorado, a trailer in remote Arizona, and an artist's retreat in New Zealand. Along the way, she meets various locals who become friends. Lowman expertly conveys Ammalie's purposeful steps toward building a new life and repairing her relationship with her college-age son, Powell.
