THE RISE OF THE HOUSE OF MCNALLY The Third Unlikely Exploit

Exactly as the series title implies, this unlikely exploit is a bit wacky and sometimes as convoluted as a house of mirrors. Joe Barrett's consistent, energetic narration renders the story cheerful and fun, rather than confusing, and encourages the listener to become immersed in its rich characters. Barrett cultivates a clear personality for each of the quirky characters, including the McNally children, in both human and mammal form. (Fans will be pleased to find that Fergal isn't dead--he's back as a dog.) Barrett's delivery especially shines in his portrayal of the sinister Mr. Maggs and other motley inhabitants of this world.
