Most of the violent biblical scenes have been avoided. Norgate's practiced baritone offers a paternal presence. The counterpoint of a female narrator would be a pleasing addition to Norgate's robust voice. Some of the stories, "The Baby in the Basket," in particular, cry out for a feminine delivery.
