Set in a believable future, these works range from lovers seeking the truth behind their relationships, to people on trial for using martial arts, to human explorers attempting to contact a humanoid but alien race. All stories involve a main character who is exploring and bucking societal norms, often to get to the truth. In every work, Porter narrates as though he is embodying each character. His inflections are pitch-perfect and listeners can tell that he relishes his part in bringing the stories to life.
