Michael Crouch and Amanda Stribling team up to narrate this gripping thriller. Wyatt and Dawn Decker are an emerging home improvement couple on TV. Their on-screen personas project a sweet go-getter and a candid critic. Off-screen, however, Wyatt's obsession with fame clashes with Dawn's desire for authenticity. As they struggle to expand their family, Wyatt turns to an illegal fertility drug that alters his behavior. When Dawn discovers a horrifying document, she takes their twins and flees, starting a media frenzy. Crouch and Stribling shine with their credible Tennessee accents. Crouch's seemingly nonchalant tone and Stribling's nuanced delivery heighten the story's tension. Their outstanding performances make this a listen that's nearly impossible to pause. S.K.G.
