Who knew the dunk was illegal at one time? Landon Woodson narrates its story, which involves a rich history. His clear diction, interested tone, and appropriate inflections enliven the biographical portraits of little-known and well-known athletes and others. Woodson remains involved throughout every chapter and, despite a couple of missteps in pronunciation, does a fine job. His narration of quotes works well, reflecting the emotions of the players.
