Part gothic fiction and part domestic thriller, this creepy, compelling listen features Helen Baxendale's and Jamie Glover's excellent narrations. After surviving a nearly fatal accident, Emily and her husband, Freddie, relocate from London to Larkin Lodge, a remote Dartmoor estate. Emily begins to have unsettling experiences while alone, and her husband worries about her mental health. However, she's determined to uncover all the secrets of the house, her marriage, and their history. Told in alternating perspectives divided into "Me," "You," "Us," and "Them" sections, the narrations by Baxendale and Glover perfectly match the slow build of the story.
