THE LANGUAGE OF THE BIRDS

Jorjeana Marie beautifully narrates the story of 17-year-old Arizona, a puzzle-solving loner who is still reeling from her father's recent death. When her mother is kidnapped by members of a mysterious organization while they're traveling, Arizona is forced to solve progressive cyphers and other puzzles that may solve an ancient mystery. Marie is outstanding at portraying Arizona as intelligent but odd. She adds notes of fierceness and bravery yet is able to show vulnerability when it comes to her family, which includes her emotional support dog, Mojo.
