Mark Bramhall narrates an adventure about unlikely friends: Orris, a rat, and Timble, an owl. Bramhall's deep voice, distinct enunciations, and gentle rhythms are a perfect match. Bramhall's portraits are well defined for the young, enthusiastic Timble and the older, grumbly Orris. Bramhall deepens his characterizations of the friends' developing relationship, which faces a challenge when Timble doesn't appear for his nightly visit. Disgruntled Orris finally reveals his feelings of loneliness and disappointment, and Timble returns with a story of being lost. Finally, the two perch close to each other on the barn roof, restored and renewed in their friendship. S.W. © AudioFile 2025, Portland, Maine [Published: APRIL 2025]
