Narrators Dan Bittner and Rebecca Lowman step flawlessly into the characters of Mike and Ruth in this digital-age thriller. Bittner convincingly portrays Mike in a boy-next-door tone, subtly exposing his self-delusion. Lowman delivers a sympathetic, smart, and brave Ruth, who is forced into increasingly threatening situations. Like Ruth, listeners must constantly question whom to trust as her escape forces alliances with dubious partners.
