Narrator Marisa Calin shines a light on women's opportunities in this unconventional historical rom-com. Lady archaeologist Georgina Harrington doesn't back down from any challenge, and Calin's voice is imbued with her steely resolution. To locate her missing cousin, Georgina teams up with Alexander Lovett, heir to a dukedom, despite not being pleased that both their families are trying to manipulate them into marriage. Alexander has a club foot, and Calin captures the humor he uses to distract from his limitations, as well as his sincere support for Georgina's ambitions. Calin also voices peers and servants, even changing her pitch and timbre when Georgina assumes masculine garb and when vocalizing chickens in some hilarious high-society scenes.
