TO CATCH A SPY

Narrator Graham Halstead takes listeners to a bygone era when sophistication was the norm. In the award-winning 1955 Hitchcock film TO CATCH A THIEF, retired jewel thief John Robie was cleared of a series of burglaries with the help of fashion model Francie Stevens. In this estate-approved sequel, Francie is returning to the Riviera, and Robie hopes to rekindle their romance. But a group of criminal associates wants him dead. Furthermore, Francie wants nothing to do with him. Gradually, Robie begins to wonder: Is she a spy? Halstead has both dramatic and comedic flair for the characters, and he differentiates them well through intonation. His portrayal of Francie as feisty, secretive, and charming justifies Robie's simultaneous infatuation and distrust. Drama and complicated romance ensue.
