Emma Galvin gives a sparkling performance of this contemporary audiobook about a Jewish family who move from Brooklyn to a college town in northern Maine. The four members of the family are soon caught up in a "he said/she said" situation revolving around the high school principal's shocking proposition of Hazel, a senior, on her first day of school, and a campus controversy that develops when the father, Gus, a professor, uses Bill Cosby as an example in his class. Galvin smoothly shifts among the perspectives of the family members, illuminating their anxieties and differing approaches to these dilemmas, as well as their adaptations to living in a new place.
