This audiobook is a delightful, whimsical, and philosophical romp through the values, ideals, and sensibilities of Maurice Micklewhite--known to most of us as British actor Michael Caine. This memoir (he's done others) is mostly about what makes Caine tick. Eddie Marson offers a yeoman's effort in re-creating Caine's Cockney accent and delivers a believable, understandable, and well-enunciated narration. Simon Slater occasionally provides the voice of Caine's writer friend who poses questions and offers reactions to Caine's musings. The interviewer-interviewee approach does more harm than good, compromising an excellent offering. Among Caine's key points are to continue to learn, be flexible, stay current despite not always appreciating contemporary values, love family, and remaining a good listener.
