This audiobook combines memoir and various business lessons. John Calamos, founder of Calamos Asset Management, is a respected philanthropist and an American patriot. Co-author and narrator Joe Garner's delivery is precisely articulated and professional, and he does his best to maintain listeners' interest throughout. But it's disconcerting to discover that this memoir is written in the third person. And while Garner reverentially tells Calamos's story, only assorted direct quotes from Calamos himself provide a feel for the man and his achievements. The sum total is an opportunity missed.
