JACK SERPENT The Scriver Archives, Book 1

Ralph Lister narrates this first installment in The Scriver Archives. Jack, the sole survivor of the Scriver Trials, is on a mission to document the monsters who are plaguing every continent on earth and discover how to kill them. Jack has been recruited to kill the High Stryga, in particular, before she uses stolen magic to enslave all humans. But he can't do it alone, so he grudgingly joins with an increasing number of characters, giving Lister an opportunity to show his facility with accents. Chapters begin with an excerpt from the Scriver Archives, documented by Jack, which Lister delivers in a different voice from that used for Jack otherwise, a technique that is helpful to distinguish the archives from his current adventure.
