Narrator Patricia Zamora jumps in with full force with over-the-top voices in this fast-paced audiobook, which follows the aftermath of an accident in Texas. A collision that leaves a woman dead and a man on the run sets in motion a chain of events fueled by a selfish politician, several cops, a low-life family member, and a TV reporter. Zamora gives everyone involved--all the major and minor characters--campy personalities that fit the tone of the author's writing. Zamora is extremely consistent with voices and accents, and deftly alternates between characters and third-person narration. This chase thriller is enhanced by her narration.
