As she juggles the P.T.A., a wannabe-politician husband, and her work-out schedule, Kate discovers a demon plot to take over San Diablo and sets out to stop it. Laura Hicks brings this humorous novel to life, fully portraying Kate and aptly depicting her 14-year-old daughter and 2-year-old son. The demons sound ferocious, but the portrayals of the men sound too similar. Editing glitches, however, distract from Hicks's credible performance.
