Nick Foster has had limited public exposure because of the many nondisclosure agreements (NDAs) associated with his design work for Sony, Google, and other such companies. Foster employs his Derby-variety English accent to excellent advantage in presenting a theoretical history of how humankind has viewed the future. The audiobook is down to earth in both Foster's precisely enunciated performance and in his cogent explanations of the four most common mindsets: could, should might, don't. Foster's overarching idea is to make a habit of considering our extremely limited lifespan so that we pursue our greatest desires and consider the legacy we leave.
