THE LOST WOMEN OF SCIENCE

Katie Koster and Katie Hafner introduce 10 women from Hafner's "Lost Women of Science" podcast, which focuses on the ways female science pioneers were overlooked due to their gender, and sometimes race. Scientists include pathologist Dorothy Andersen and Black chemist Alice Ball. Each segment includes a summary of the subject's principal achievements and a biography that leaves no doubt about her accomplishments and trailblazing work. Koster and Hafner's enthusiasm for the women helps to convey the groundbreaking nature of their accomplishments.
