WILL THERE EVER BE ANOTHER YOU

by | Read by Patricia Lockwood

Fiction • 7 hrs. • Unabridged • © 2025

At the beginning of this audiobook, the protagonist is experiencing the brain fog of long Covid, losing track of time and events and emotions. As author Patricia Lockwood narrates, she sounds lost and emotionless. But this is a story of survival, so the confusing elements--including the decision not to mention the heroine's name more than twice in the whole story and the switching back and forth between first- and third-person pronouns--gradually come together and make sense. Emotions become clearer, even exaggerated, and while the novel never becomes entirely conventional, with the help of the narration, it does become comprehensible and relatable.
