Sir Tim, who has the distinction of having invented the World Wide Web, delivers the introduction to his memoir. Then his friend Stephen Fry takes over--and what a pleasure that is. His plummy voice and English accent, combined with his enthusiasm for his topic, make him the perfect narrator. Even when dealing with the technical details of how the author arrived at his invention, his warmth and humor bring life to the subject matter. Though it's sometimes difficult to follow shifts between the past and present, this memoir is filled with anecdotes and insights, including the author's opinions on AI (exciting, despite potential dangers), social media (mostly disastrous), and opportunities for humankind's betterment (inexhaustible). An inspiring book made more so by its star narrator. L.W.S. © AudioFile 2025, Portland, Maine [Published: OCTOBER 2025]
