HEKATE The Witch

Poet Gill narrates her reimagining of the Hekate myths. Hekate is the goddess of magic and necromancy. A refugee of the war between the Titans and the Olympian gods, she is taken by her mother to be raised by her Aunt Styx and Hades. After Hekate comes into her powers as a goddess, another conflict breaks out among the immortals, and she seems to be the only one with the power to end the war. Gill's writing is lyrical, and who better to narrate than Gill herself? She brings the right amount of drama to her work. And she can be gentle, as well as fierce. Gill masterfully depicts Hekate's transformation from a relatively weak girl into a powerful goddess. J.E.M.
