Drawing in the listener with a manner that suggests a compelling invitation, Alyssa Bresnahan delivers this intriguing story of interwoven ancestral relationships. Her narration is a perfect match for Jodi Picoult's thought-provoking scenario of a wife who loves her husband too much and drives him away, juxtaposed with a man who loves his wife so much that he kills her rather than see her suffer through a terminal illness. These worlds collide, and the listener is left breathless with the complexities of these relationships.
