Narrator Greg Hernandez amps up suspense and fear in this captivating story. As people are leaving Cape Cod after July 4th, a group of terrorists blows up all the bridges, airports, and ferries, effectively stranding everyone on the island to face both a Category 4 hurricane and their announced dispersal of anthrax. A private investigator and an ex-homicide detective must work together to find the terrorists and the anthrax in time. Hernandez convincingly voices a multitude of characters, including a gun-toting elderly woman, a thief seeking asylum, and a variety of terrorists with varying levels of menace. His narration is subtle, not showy, which only serves to increase the tension. Hernandez manages to increase the feeling of panic and chaos with a steady, well-paced performance.
