HEAVEN AND HELL

by | Read by George Gizzard

Historical Fiction • 3 hrs. • Abridged • ©

In this conclusion to NORTH AND SOUTH, the saga of the Civil War, the series continues with the remnants of the Mains and Hazards families. Gizzard reads most of the production, but another narrator comes in loudly at seemingly random times. Gizzard does a few voice changes, squeaky for the diabolical, revenge-driven Bent and hysterical for the vain younger sister, but, for the most part, he reads evenly at a natural pace. There are good sound effects such as battle sounds, victory parties and storm noises. Note: There is graphic profanity and barbaric violence in this book.
